I bought this to view my fish aquarium when I am away from home. I needed a camera that had a optical zoom lens so I can see more details from far away. I wanted to mount the camer on the other side of the room but have only the 8 foot wide tank in the field of view. It does that. The image is not too bad during the day but when the light turn blue it gets worse.
My biggest disappointment is the camera will not work remotely from my Amcrest view pro app.
In my house it works just fine. But as soon as I am off my local network it won’t connect. I will give it 3 stars. It’s average for my application. If it worked with the other app I would go 4 stars. Yes I know the camera is not made by Amcrest so I didn’t expect it to work but when it did work on my local network I got excited. I plan to use blue iris long term and hope it will work with it.
